A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are mostly flat this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 2 points to 13,170.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.10 points to 1,402.30. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 1 point to 2,722.00.

European markets were mixed today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index dropped 0.04%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.46%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.07% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.26%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.07%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.51% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.16%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.27% and India's Sensex gained 0.43%.

Analysts at Morgan Stanley upgraded Google

from “equal-weight” to “overweight.” The target price for Google has been raised to $775. Google shares gained 1.64% to $652.50 in pre-market trading.
