CONSOL Energy Inc.
CNX
, the leading diversified fuel producer in the Eastern United States, previously reported on July 30, 2012 that it incurred a structural failure on its newly installed above-ground conveyor system at the Bailey Preparation Plant in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This incident affected production at the company's Bailey and Enlow Fork mines. Reconstruction of the affected systems is underway. At this time, we estimate that one of the two collapsed belts will be returned to service the week of August 19, 2012, which will enable the mines to operate at an estimated 60% of capacity. We expect to resume full production near the end of the month. CONSOL does not currently expect to curtail any domestic sales as a result of this incident.
