Euro-Zone PMI Drops In May

Private-sector activity across the euro zone contracted in May, according to the final May reading of the Markit euro-zone composite purchasing managers' index. Composite PMI dropped to 46.0, versus a preliminary reading of 45.9, and versus 46.7 in April. The final May services PMI reading declined to 46.7 versus 46.9 in April.
