Shares of GSV Capital
GSVC
are seeing much pressure during Friday's trading session after long awaited social media giant Facebook
FB
began trading. GSV Capital has been traded as a play on Facebook long before today's IPO since GSV Capital owned pre-IPO shares of Facebook. GSV Capital is a venture capital fund which has bought interests in Facebook, Twitter, and Kno Inc. The company also use recent financing to invest in Dropbox, StormWind, DreamBox, Grockit, ZocDoc, and other young internet-based companies. GSV Capital has been bid up in the last year in anticipation of Facebook's IPO. Now since the day has finally come, it seems as though people would rather just own shares of Facebook than a company that own shares of Facebook among other social media start-ups. Currently, GSV Capital is trading down about 18% at $13.11 per share.
