A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting nonfarm payrolls data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 15 points to 13,158.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.60 points to 1,388.50. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 7.75 points to 2,699.75.

European markets were mostly lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.21%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.52%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.03% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.23%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.49% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 falling 0.78%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.77% and India's Sensex dipped 1.89%.

Analysts at BMO Capital downgraded Hasbro Inc

from “market perform” to “underperform.” The target price for Hasbro has been lowered from $32 to $30. Hasbro shares fell 0.16% to close at $36.98 yesterday.
