UK Car Manufacturing Rises 0.3% In March

According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), car manufacturing climbed 0.3% in March to 135,456 units. For first quarter, car manufacturing surged 12.3% to 401,134 units. Commercial Vehicle output dropped 21.3% in March to 9,648 units and declined 9.6% over the quarter to 29,086 units. U.K. engine production dropped 8.7% in March to 227,957 units and fell 0.5% over the quarter to 681,966 units.
