fell about 0.9% after the company reported a decline in its 2011 net profit. China Eastern Airlines' net profit for the period dropped to CNY4.89 billion, from CNY5.38 billion in the year-ago period, as per China's accounting standards. rose about 2.4% after the company appointed John H. Briscoe as the company's new chief financial officer. Briscoe will replace Andrew P. Becnel as CFO. Shares of AutoNation Inc

rose about 1% after the company reported that its board has authorized the repurchase of another $250 million in company stock. In January, AutoNation reported a rise in its fourth-quarter earnings and revenue.
