Rumor: Israel Mobilizing Troops

A rumor has hit the wires that Israel may be mobilizing troops. Reuters is reporting, however, that an Israeli military spokeswoman has said "There has been no such thing and there is no reason for any (mobilisation)." So far, there has been little activity in the U.S. stock market or the crude oil futures market that would indicate there is any veracity to these rumors. Earlier today, however, crude oil spiked on very heavy volume before retreating sharply. Crude touched a high of $108.25 very briefly this morning and the activity could have been related to these rumors.
