Westmoreland Coal To Acquire Wyoming Coal Mine From Chevron
Westmoreland Coal Co (NYSE: WLB) announced its plans to buy a Wyoming coal mine from a Chevron Corp (NYSE: CVX) unit for around $74 million in cash. It will also assume roughly $118 million in liabilities.
The deal has been approved by Westmoreland's board. The transaction is likely to close by the end of January.
WLB shares gained 5.09% to $13.00 at 10:45 am.
