iShares Planning 3 Actively Managed ETFs

iShares unit, the world's largest ETF issuer, filed plans with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to possibly introduce three new actively managed ETFs. The three ETFs are the iShares Strategic Beta U.S. Small Cap Fund, the iShares Strategic Beta Developed International Small Cap and the iShares Strategic Beta U.S. Large Cap Fund. Sectors that may included in the large-cap offering are consumer discretionary, energy and financial companies. The small-cap global ETF will feature weights to consumer discretionary, industrial and materials companies while the domestic small-cap fund will feature allocations to consumer discretionary, financial and industrial companies. Tickers and expense ratios for the funds were not disclosed in the filings. iShares had 220 ETFs with almost $444 billion in assets under management at the end of November, according to data from the National Stock Exchange.
