After filing plans for a new
emerging markets ETF
, State Street Global Advisors, the second-largest U.S. ETF issuer, has also filed plans for a combination developed and emerging markets ETF. The SPDR MSCI ACWI IMI ETF will track the MSCI ACWI IMI Index of developed and emerging nations. The index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index that is designed to measure the combined equity market performance of developed and emerging markets, according to ETF Daily News. The index will be rebalanced quarterly. SSgA's filing did not include a ticker or expense ratio for the new ETF.
