Overseas, European markets ended their trading session lower. Britain's FTSE 100 slid by 0.3%, Germany's DAX declined by 0.63% and France's CAC 40 decreased by 0.64% on the session. Asian stocks ended their session lower as well. China's Shanghai Index lost 0.73%, Japan's Nikkei 225 slid by 0.39%, and the Hang Seng index decreased by 0.83%.

On the economic calendar, September's Consumer Credit came in at $7.386 billion versus an estimate of $5.15 billion. On the commodity front, gold and silver futures traded higher today, with gold trading about 0.45% higher today. Energy futures are mixed, with crude oil up over 1.7% near the $95.90 level and gasoline futures are trading higher by about 2.8%. Natural Gas futures are lower by about 2.3% and copper futures are trading over 1.1% higher.

On the earnings front this afternoon, Priceline (NASDAQ: PCLN) Reports Q3 EPS $9.95 vs $9.30 Est; Revenues $1.50B vs $1.42B Est; Rackspace Hosting (NYSE: RAX) Reports Q3 EPS $0.14 vs $0.14 Est; Revenues $264.60M vs $261.63M Est; Isis Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ISIS) Reports Q3 EPS $(0.27) vs $(0.20) Est; Revenues $20.70M vs $25.33M Est; Sykes Enterprises (NASDAQ: SYKE) Reports Q3 EPS $0.44 May Not Compare vs $0.28 Est; Revenues $302.5M vs $303.12M Est.

In corporate news, Fluor Corp (NYSE: FLR) announced that it will acquire Goar, Allison & Associates in a move to expand its presence in the oil and gas sector. Terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Eastman Kodak (NYSE: EK) announced that it has sold its image sensor business to Platinum Equity. The move comes at a time when the company is facing liquidity issues. Terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

GAMCO Investors (NYSE: GBL) announced that it has approved a special dividend of $1.00 for investors holding its Class A and B shares. The dividend applies to all shareholders on record as of November 17, 2011.
