Corporate gluttony at its finest.
For those who didn't think that Sony
SNE
was
stupid enough
to
drive itself out
of the game industry, get ready for the company's latest announcement: the PlayStation maker wants PSN users to sign away their rights to collectively sue over future security breaches. According to the
BBC
, users will have to agree to the new terms the next time they sign into the network. While it is possible to opt out, you can only do so by first agreeing to the new terms. If you don't agree, you can't sign in. Once you agree, you must then mail a letter to Sony within the next 30 days to opt. Clearly, Sony is making it as inconvenient as possible to do anything but agree to their silly demands. Perhaps we should all come together and sue the company for trying to keep us from filing future lawsuits?
