Implant Sciences Corporation (
IMSC
) today announced a $1.1 million order for its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 portable explosives trace detection system. The QS-H150 units will be deployed at critical infrastructure applications in the Middle East. With more than 1,300 units sold, the QS-H150 has been adopted by a growing number of commercial and governmental security organizations around the world. It is deployed in a wide variety of applications including aviation security, transportation security, cargo screening, force protection, VIP protection, and public safety. "Unfortunately as ongoing threats of violence disrupt daily life in the Middle East, the need for portable explosives trace detection technology is increasing. The Quantum Sniffer is an excellent choice to improve security coverage because our QS-H150 has been uniquely engineered to reduce dirt and contamination clogging problems caused by sand and dust, which makes the unit highly available with little or no downtime required for system calibration or clear down following an alarm," remarked Bruce Bower, Senior Vice President at Implant Sciences. Implant Sciences' CEO, Glenn D. Bolduc, commented, "With automatic self-calibration, non-contact sampling, and no radioactive materials, the innovative QS-H150 continues to attract attention from new customers. We are very proud of the work our sales team and channel partners have invested in discovering this new opportunity."
