Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 No Longer Banned in Europe

European consumers outside of Germany can now enjoy one of the leading iPad clones on the market.
Apple
AAPL
is having a rough week. The company has
been accused
of doctoring an image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in order to emphasize the device's similarity to the iPad. While I personally think that the claim is false,
today's news
from the Wall Street Journal (via
AppleInsider
) could very well make the forged image irrelevant. According to the Journal, a German court has reversed its decision and partly lifted the ban on sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Unfortunately, the ban has only been lifted for countries outside of Germany. (This injunction did not apply to the Netherlands, where a separate case is still pending.) The rest of the story is exactly what you'd expect: Samsung welcomed the court's decision while Apple reiterated its commitment to protecting its intellectual properties. Hey, guess what Apple: HTC is
just as committed
.
