5 Stocks For The Champions League

This weekend, Manchester United and Barcelona will compete in the Champion's League Final to take the title Champion of Europe. Americans – this IS a big deal. Worldwide, this game is bigger than the Super Bowl. So take note. It's not a girl's game. It's not a child's game. Real grown men play soccer, for money.

AON (NYSE: AON) The shirt sponsor of Manchester United, AON provides risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human resource consulting and outsourcing services. If popular opinion is anything to go by, AON is backing the losing horse. Time will tell.

Vodafone (NASDAQ: VOD) In contrast, Vodafone is the former shirt sponsor of United. They were outbid some time ago. AIG, who had the honor between Vodafone and AON, went out of business so no harm, no foul.

Spanish Broadcasting System (NASDAQ: SBSA) All Spanish eyes will be on the game. Barcelona play such beautiful soccer (or football, for the Europeans), that most neutrals are rooting for the Spanish side. Most, that is, with the exception of the fans of Real Madrid, Barcelona's biggest rivals in Spain. The Real fans will be honorary Mancunians this weekend.

Dick's Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) Feel like trying to emulate Messi, Rooney and the boys? You'll need boots, shin-pads and a ball, and even then there's little chance you'll be a fraction as good as Messi. That boy is a genius.

Buffalo Wild Wings (NASDAQ: BWLD) Even in the States, where soccer is about as popular as the WNBA, there are enough European imports to make it worthwhile bars showing the game. If it is not on a screen, demand it.
