Sonoco Board Declares Increase in Common Stock Dividend

The Board of Directors of Sonoco

today declared a $.29 per share quarterly common stock dividend, an increase from the previous quarterly dividend of $.28 per share. The dividend will be payable on June 10, 2011, to shareholders of record as of May 13, 2011.
