Taiwan Stocks Down 0.31% After Hitting 52-Week High (EWT)

Stocks opened Tuesday trading in Taiwan in positive territory and even hit a new 52-week high but were unable to maintain those gains and ended the day in negative territory. The Taiwan Capitalization Weighted Stock Index, or the TSEC weighted index, opened the Tuesday trading session in Taiwan at 9,045.11, which was higher than the previous trading day's close of 9,025.30. The TSEC weighted index spent most of the Tuesday trading session in positive territory, before falling and ending the day down 28.11 points, or 0.31%, at 8,997.19. The TSEC weighted index traded between 8,988.58 and a 52-week high of 9,046.18. Investors who would like to invest in Taiwanese equities might want to consider the iShares MSCI Taiwan Index Fund
