AMZN shares are down sharply today, as the equity markets are down sharply today.
There was news earlier that Amazon, which releases its Kindle Fire this week, was actually making money on each Kindle Fire, as opposed to the initial estimate of a loss on each tablet.
According to
SemiAccurate, Amazon is making $56 for every Kindle Fire sold.
Shares are off the lows of the session, but are still down more than 4% as of the time of this article. At last check, shares were off $8.61 to $203.38 on 4.5 million shares.
