Jon Najarian Sees Unusual Options Activity In Rite Aid

Jon Najarian on CNBC's Fast Money Halftime Report spoke about unusually high options volume in Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) on Friday. He noticed that traders bought around 25,000 contracts of the April 7 calls.

Najarian added that the stock is trading around $1 or 17 percent above its 52-week low and approximately $1.75 or 20 percent below its 52-week high. He thinks that this might be a speculation about a merger or acquisition, although there are no such news in the media. He owns both stock and options and he is planning to hold options for quite a while because they expire in April.
