CNBC Fast Money's traders shared on the show what would they buy ahead of earnings season for the banking sector.

Brian Kelly thinks that Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund XLF could break down. He explained that the China data on Thursday has decreased chances of the interest rates raising cycle. Kelly would also stay away from gold and he is a buyer of the U.S. dollar.

Tim Seymour would be a buyer of Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund because the banks have good balance sheets and their earnings power is getting better.

Karen Finerman is bullish on Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund, because the underwriting business is starting to pick up and she thinks that the trading segment of the big banks has done well in the last quarter. She likes the valuation of the financial stocks. She also likes Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL in the airlines space.
