What Edge Does SAP Provide Over Other Cloud Vendors?

“If you believe in the real-time business, if you believe you have to have information at the fingertips, if everything is going over the Internet and it’s going with Internet speed, then you have to have SAP HANA as the enterprise system,” Plattner said.

Why Would Existing Cloud Customers Pay To Shift To SAP HANA?

“Now, first of all you have to compare our offering with the equivalent offerings and they are not so many, depends on functionality and size capacity we can handle,” Plattner replied.

“It is just so enticing to do it once you have understood it. It is so much faster. It is so much more flexible. It is so much cheaper. You can do so much more in one system.”

He continued, “All the weaknesses of the last, let me say, 12 years, 14 years. I think we have overcome. We have a solution for that, a much better solution. We run faster, better, more flexible. New applications you have never seen from SAP, you have seen them somewhere else, probably here in the stock market.”

“We analyze data now like you analyze data here online, real-time, while the business is happening. If you don’t need this then don’t go there.”
