So it is official. Fox Business Network's post-market show "Happy Hour," is no more. The show, which was held at the Bull and Bear bar at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan, has been canceled. "Happy Hour" was hosted by the lovely Rebecca Diamond, whom male viewers will certainly miss, Cody Willard, and NYMEX trader Eric Bolling. Cody Willard had previously worked at the Street.com, Jim Cramer's financial news company. Happy Hour competed against CNBC's popular post-market show, Fast Money, where Bolling used to be a panelist. Although FBN has not indicated what they plan to do with the time slot, sources indicate that the network will take a more "news focused approach." We hear they may be interested in letting Benzinga develop a market-focused ratings blockbuster for the relatively new network, although we have not heard from Fox executives yet. We are eagerly awaiting their solicitations, however! The news that Happy Hour has been canceled, seemingly means that the futures of the show's panelists are up in the air. We at Benzinga, sure hope that FBN finds a place for Rebecca Diamond somewhere in their lineup. Eric Bolling, is a fixture on the network, appearing throughout the day and has even been a substitute on prominent Fox News shows like Glenn Beck and the O'Reilly Factor.
