U.S. Dollar Index Gains Accelerate, Personal Income Improves

The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 101.92, up 0.77. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that personal income rose 0.4 percent in January versus a 0.3 percent rise in December and spending rose 0.2 percent versus a 0.5 percent rise in December. The January Core PCE Price Index rose 0.4 percent versus a 0.2 percent rise in December. The January Core PCE Price Index rose 0.3 percent versus a 0.1 percent rise in December. Chatter about sellers backing away for 102.27 is showing up and talk about buyers near 101.65 and 101.40 is making the rounds.
