EUR/USD Higher, Italy's Trade Surplus Expands

EUR/USD is trading at 1.0638, up 0.0036. The pair is trading at the session highs. Market talk about global headline news and comments European policy makers is making the rounds. Italy's National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) reported a 5.8 billion EUR trade surplus in December versus a 4.2 billion EUR surplus reported in November. Eurostat is scheduled to release Euro area construction output figures Friday at 5:00 a.m. ET.
