U.S. Dollar Index Slides After Fed Leaves Rates Unchanged

The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 99.60, 0.12. The U.S. dollar index is trading near the session lows after the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee (FOMC) left monetary policy unchanged at the conclusion of today's meeting. Trading has been choppy. Market chatter about U.S. economic data due out Thursday is starting to show up. Challenger, Gray and Christmas is scheduled to report corporate layoff figures at 7:30 a.m. ET. The Department of Labor's weekly jobless claims report is due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is scheduled to report non-farm productivity and unit labor costs at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) New York Index is scheduled for release at 9:45 a.m. ET.
