USD/JPY Little Lower, Household Spending in Japan Slips

USD/JPY is trading at 113.44, down 0.23. The pair is trading near the session lows. Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications reported that unemployment was unchanged at 3.1 percent in December versus 3.1 percent in November. The agency reported that household spending in Japan fell 0.3 percent year over year in December after a 1.5 percent decline in November. On the month, December household spending fell 0.6 percent after a 0.6 percent fall in November.
