Live Cattle Futures Move Down

February live cattle is trading at 118.05, down 1.07 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 116.85, down 1.02 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 106.72, down 1.05 cents/lb Live cattle futures are trading lower just after the open. Trading is choppy. Market talk about cash prices and weather has kept buyers and sellers active. Wednesday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head the total for the week is 348,000 head versus 335,000 head a year ago.
