U.S. Dollar Index Rises After Payroll Data

The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 101.92, up 0.42. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that that December U.S. unemployment rose to 4.7 percent from 4.6 in November. Non-farm payrolls rose 156,000 versus 204,000 in November. Average hourly earnings edged up and manufacturing added 17,000 jobs.
