USDA Daily Cattle Slaughter; Live Cattle Futures Sharply Higher

Tuesday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head versus a year ago at 112,000 head. February live cattle is trading at 110.92, up 1.95 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 110.85, up 1.87 cents/lb. Cattle futures traded very choppy, some late session buying pushed prices to the session highs.
