USDA Daily Hog Slaughter; Lean Hog Futures Little Higher

Wednesday's USDA hog slaughter was 441,000 head versus a year ago at 436,000 head. February lean hogs are trading at 55.12, up 0.42 cents/lb. April lean hogs are trading at 61.40, up 0.42 cents/lb. December lean hogs are trading at 50.90, up 0.55 cents/lb. Lean Hog futures traded firm for most of the session, some late day selling pushed prices down off the highs of the day.
