U.S. Dollar Index Lower, Fed Makes No Change to Policy

The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.34, down 0.35. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading just above the session lows. The Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) made no change to interest rates today. Chatter about U.S. economic data due out Thursday is starting to show up. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to report non-farm productivity and unit labor costs at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Department of Labor is scheduled to report weekly jobless claims at 8:30 a.m. ET. Markit's services and composite purchasing managers surveys (PMI) are due out at 9:45 a.m. ET. The Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) non-manufacturing purchasing managers survey (PMI) is due out at 10:00 a.m. ET. The U.S. Census Bureau is scheduled to release factory orders at 10:00 a.m. ET.
