USD/JPY Steady, Japan's CPI Little Changed

USD/JPY is trading at 105.21, down 0.01.

The pair is trading in the middle of the session range.

Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications reported that year over year CPI (consumer prices) during September fell 0.5 percent, the same as in August. Core consumer prices fell 0.5 percent versus a year ago, the same decline as in August and the seventh month in a row of a decline. On the month Japan's CPI rose by 0.2 percent in September versus a flat reading in August. During October Tokyo's year over year CPI rose 0.1 percent versus September s decline of 0.5 percent.
