Wheat Futures Little Changed

December Chicago Wheat is trading at 402 1/4, down 1/4 of a cent/bushel. March Chicago Wheat is trading at 424 1/4, down 1/4 of a cent/bushel. December Kansas City Wheat is trading at 411 3/4, down 3/4 of a cent/bushel. Wheat futures are trading steady to lower after Monday's decline. The weekly winter wheat planting report showed 79 percent of the wheat crop was planted versus 72 percent last week and 81 percent a year ago. The ten year average at this time of year is 82 percent. The USDA reported on Monday that wheat export inspections for the 2016 to 2017 marketing year as of October 20th are now 42.5 percent of the USDA forecast versus the five year average of 44.1 percent.
