USD/JPY Little Changed, Japan's CPI Flat

Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications reported that year over year CPI (consumer prices) fell 0.5 percent, it was the sixth month in a row of declines. Core consumer prices fell 0.5 percent versus a year ago, the same decline as in July.
On the month Japan's CPI was flat in August versus the 0.2 percent decline in July. During September Tokyo's year over year CPI fell 0.5 percent, on the month Tokyo's CPI fell 0.5 percent versus August's decline of 0.5 percent.
