U.S. Dollar Index Lower Ahead of Data

The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.27, down 0.28.

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading a little above the session lows. Market chatter about headline news and economic data due out Thursday is making the rounds.

The Department of Labor is scheduled to report weekly jobless claims at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Empire state manufacturing survey is due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Phily Fed survey is also due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Census Bureau's monthly report on retail sales is due out at 8:30 a.m. ET and the Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to report producer prices (PPI) at 8:30 a.m. ET.

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to release industrial production at 9:15 a.m. ET.
