Cotton Futures Move Up

December New York Cotton is trading at 68.90, up 1.11 cents/lb. March New York Cotton is trading at 69.05, up 0.94 cents/lb. Cotton futures are trading higher after a steady trade early in the day. Market chatter about global cotton demand and weather for U.S. cotton growing areas is making the rounds. Some talk about excessive rain in the U.S. is showing up. On Monday China sold 22,400 tonnes of reserve cotton, a little over 74 percent of the amount of cotton offered. In other New York Soft commodities; December Cocoa is trading at 2902, up 2 $/MT. December Coffee is trading at 153.25, up 1.85 cents/lb. October Sugar is trading at 20.09, down 0.09 cents/lb. November Orange Juice is trading at 190.30, up 3.75 cents/lb.
