Live Cattle Futures Lower

October live cattle is trading at 109.95, down 0.30 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 111.42, down up 0.30 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading lower just after the open. Market chatter about the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) cattle-on-feed report released Friday after the close of trading is making the rounds. Trading is choppy. The USDA cold storage data is due out 3:00 p.m. ET.
