U.S. Dollar Index Falls, GDP Little Changed

The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 96.01, down 0.71. The U.S. dollar index is trading very choppy with a fairly wide range. Market talk about U.S. economic data and global headline news is making the rounds. The Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that second quarter annualized gross domestic product (GDP) was 1.2 percent versus 1.1 percent in the first quarter. The Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) Chicago purchasing managers survey (PMI) is due out at 9:45 a.m. ET. The University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey is due out Friday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
