Live Cattle Futures Little Changed

August live cattle is trading at 109.55, up 0.12 cents/lb. October live cattle is trading at 108.00, down 0.07 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 109.65, down 0.15 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading steady just after the open Thursday. The USDA reported today that beef weekly export sales for the period ending July 14th totaled 14,400 tonnes. Sales were up 13 percent from the previous week and down 2 percent from the four week average.  Market chatter hot weather impacts on cattle supplies and consumer demand is making the rounds. Trading is expected to be very choppy. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) monthly cattle on feed and cold storage reports due out Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
