The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 96.10, down 0.03 The U.S. dollar index is trading largely rangebound. The Department of Labor reported that weekly jobless claims fell 16,000 to 254,000 from 270,000 last week. It was the lowest level in eleven weeks. Market talk about U.S. payroll data due out Friday and comments from policy makers has kept both buyers and sellers active in a fairly narrow range.
