August Gold futures are trading higher by $7.10 at $1269.40 per ounce in Thursday's session. During pre-market trading, the contract found support at $1259.40 and began to move higher.

It has surpassed Wednesday's high ($1267.10), so far reaching $1272.10. Gold has not closed over $1270 since May 18, when it ended the session at $1277.10.

Based on the daily charts, there may be only minor resistance points until the pair of highs from May 17 ($1286.20) and May 18 ($1285.30).
