August Gold futures are trading lower by $1.30 at $1213.40 per ounce in Thursday's session. It has been slow to recover from its fall from the $1300 area that it reached in early May. Over the last four sessions (including today), it has traded in a range from $1201.50 to $1225.80.
The lower end of the range was briefly reached in pre-market trading early Sunday morning. The majority of the trading action has been surrounding the $1215 area. In fact, the contract's last three closes have been between $1214.70 and $1217.50.
