Live Cattle Futures Sharply Lower

Live Cattle futures sank Friday on market chatter about weaker than expected cash prices and general selling. At last check August Live Cattle was trading 150.82 down 2.10 and October Cattle was trading at 153.30, down 1.75. June Cattle in delivery at last check was down 2.77 at 152.45. Friday's USDA Cattle slaughter was 107,000 head versus a year ago at 115,000 head.
