Cattle Lower, Hogs Higher

Friday's USDA Cattle slaughter was 101,000 head versus a year ago at 118,000 head. Live Cattle futures traded choppy and ended the session lower. August Live Cattle was trading 150.85, down 0.60 and October Cattle was trading at 152.70, down 0.30.

Friday's USDA Hog slaughter was 411,000 head versus a year ago at 319,000 head. Lean hog futures ended the session mostly higher after a back and forth trading day. August hogs were trading at 80.90, up 1.30 and October Hogs were trading at 70.67, up 0.62. December Hogs were trading at 67.25, up 0.60.
