Sugar Slightly Higher

Sugar Futures are trading a little higher Monday. May Sugar is trading at 12.73, up 0.05. Chatter about currency and weather continues. July Sugar is trading at 12.89 up 0.04. Trading is range-bound. Chatter that Chinese sugar imports in February were down over 26 percent at 120,000 tons has some traders concerned about further Chinese imports since growth is slowing in China. So far this year, Chinese imports are at 505,300 tons, up 11.7 percent from last year.
