Corn Futures Higher In Early Trading

March Corn Is trading higher at 407.25, up 1 1/4 cents. July corn is trading higher at 422.50, up 1 1/4 cents. Market talk about the USDA report due out Monday of next week and the possibility for lower planted acreage surfaced and encouraged buyers on Monday. Chatter about Farmer selling above the market is making the rounds. Weekly Corn export inspections were 538,945 tonnes versus the estimates of 75,000-800,000 tonnes. Corn export inspections for the 2014-2015 marketing year so far are 27.3 percent of the USDA forecast versus a five-year average of 31.9 percent. Brazil's corn exports for December were 3.405 million tonnes, above November's 2.978 million tonnes. Last year at this time, the exports were a touch over 3.0 million.
