March N.Y Coffee closed up over 4 % Monday. Coffee futures were trading lower early Monday morning after trading lower Friday on the back of chatter about secondary producing regions expanding coffee production, a weak economic tone in Brazil and soft economic news out of China. Coffee production is expected to increase slightly this year after being down 12% for 2014. However these expectations come from a wide range of estimates for the upcoming Brazilian Arabica Coffee crop. Views that can easily change. Market talk is focused on weather and demand for now. Robusta exports from Indonesia's Sumatra region were down 29% in December 2914 from December 2013. March N.Y Coffee settled the trading day at 168.10 up 7.05 just over 4 % higher.
