N.Y. Soft Commodities closed the first trading session of the year mixed. March Coffee traded lower from the open on supply worries and general selling. Market chatter about secondary producing regions expanding coffee production and weak tone in Brazil Equity markets led to some general selling. The Strong U.S Dollar also led to pressure. March coffee settled the weak session down 6.00 at 160.60. March Cocoa saw both sides of unchanged Friday after Wednesday's weakness and worked its way higher during the latter part of trading day, ending the session at 2944 up 17.
