United Airlines Sets New Milestone With Massive Expansion Plan For South Pacific, Adds Direct Flight To Christchurch, New Zealand - United Airlines Holdings (NASDAQ:UAL)

The first non-stop route between San Francisco, U.S., and Christchurch, New Zealand, will begin operating on December 1 as part of United Airlines Holdings Inc's UAL South Pacific network expansion plan.
United plans to add 40% more flights between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand next northern winter, including new non-stop service to Christchurch, new routes from L.A. to Brisbane and Auckland, and more flights from San Francisco to Brisbane and Sydney.
United will have 66 flights between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand every week.
"This past winter, United enhanced our network and became the largest carrier to the South Pacific region. Now, this upcoming winter, we will expand even further," said Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances.
Price Action: UAL shares are trading higher by 0.85% at $42.74 on the last check Tuesday.
